The innovative automotive sector

The Dutch automotive sector is dynamic and innovative. Through the Automotive Innovation Award Foundation, the ANWB, BOVAG, LeasePlan, RAI Automotive Industry NL, RAI Vereniging and Roland Berger aim to raise awareness of the sector’s innovative capacity. The foundation presents prestigious awards to promising innovations that make mobility smarter, cleaner and more efficient. At the awards ceremony on Monday February 5th 2024, numerous automotive players will come together to exchange knowledge, join forces and build new partnerships.

 

Dutch innovation propelling advances in electric driving

With an annual turnover of 90 billion euros, the automotive manufacturing and service industry in the Netherlands is a sector of vital economic importance. A sector that employs more than 100,000 – mostly highly educated – people. And a sector known for its capabilities and innovation. We have suppliers of both car parts and services, as well as mobility providers active in maintenance, sales, rental and leasing. These companies also play an important role internationally in the transition to sustainable, safe and accessible mobility. Read more
